We wish you a merry Christmas!

This week as we approach the big day we’ve gone all christmasy.

Indeed in maths we’ll be enjoying additions with baubles and using mathematical language to describe the Christmas items in the feely bag. We’ll also be making play dough numbers and programme our beebot to go to different Christmas items.

Whilst in language we will be discussing other events people celebrate and how they celebrate. We will also be discussing ways we can say thank you for all our wonderful gifts at Christmas.

We will also be taking this opportunity to discuss feelings and also new year resolutions.

Our investigations this week will see us exploring magnets around the nursery. We will also be amazed and have lots of fun as we conduct our shooting stars experiment. We’re sure the children the children will tell you all about it!

Physical activities this week will see us practising throwing and catching with our friends, plus having lots of giggles as we explore various ways to move on 2 parts of the body.

Our creative activities this week see us attempting a few ballet moves as the famous nutcracker or swan lake! We will also be bringing our own version of the hit musical stomp to Swadlincote too.

It may be a 4 day week but we have lots of fun planned in the lead up to Christmas. Plus don’t forget our North Pole adventure day on Christmas Eve too!
